William E Fisher, President & CEO
Bill Fisher is a native Houstonian and an honors graduate of the University of Texas at Austin.
A four-year letterman in tennis at Texas, Fisher earned a national ranking before opting for a career in the insurance industry.
Fisher has worked for Great West Life, Mutual of New York, National Investors, and Management Compensation Group. In 1988 he formed BenefitSpecialists, where he is currently President & CEO.
Fisher has created cost-saving benefit programs for companies throughout the United States.
He has helped implement benefit programs for small start-ups with as few as two employees all the way up to publicly traded companies with several thousand plan participants. Fisher is a Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Financial Consultant, Certified Financial Planner, and Registered Health Underwriter. He is on the Advisory Board of several major insurance companies and has earned a “preferred broker” status from a number of the premier underwriters in the industry. He is a member of the University of Texas Longhorn Court of Honor and active in the Boy Scouts of America. Fisher is married and has two children.
Myrna Hawk, Senior Vice President
Senior Vice President of BenefitSpecialists, Myrna has almost forty years of insurance experience. She has an extensive background in claims resolution and plan administration . Prior to joining BenefitSpecialists, Myrna spent ten years with a national executive/employee benefit firm and twelve years with a major insurance company.
Julie Huffman, Vice President
Vice President of BenefitSpecialists, Julie has over 15 years insurance experience. Julie is responsible for marketing , proposal preparation , insurance company submissions, communication/enrollment material , and corporate licensing . She also manages the BenefitSpecialists computer system.
